Privacy Policy

Gadwai ("we", "us", or "our") provides Gadwai Desktop, a local AI application for generating feasibility studies. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with the software and our website.

Because all AI inference runs locally via Ollama, the following data never leaves your device:

• Business ideas, project descriptions, or prompts you enter.
• Generated feasibility studies and their content.
• Financial assumptions, market sizing data, or strategic plans.
• Chat history or conversation logs.
• Locally stored files or exports.

License activation data. When you activate a paid license, we collect your email address and license key to verify entitlement and provide support. This data is stored securely and used solely for license management purposes.

Anonymous crash reports. With your explicit consent (opt-in), the application may send anonymous crash reports containing error stack traces, OS version, and app version. No personal information or content is included. You can disable this at any time in Settings.

Website analytics. Our marketing website uses privacy-respecting analytics (no cross-site tracking, no cookies for advertising) to understand traffic patterns. IP addresses are anonymized.

Purchase data. If you purchase a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of purchase but do not store full payment card details.

Information we collect is used only to:

• Verify and manage software licenses.
• Provide customer support.
• Improve software stability using anonymized crash data (with consent).
• Process payments and prevent fraud.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Ollama. Gadwai Desktop relies on Ollama for local AI inference. Ollama runs entirely on your machine. Consult Ollama's own privacy documentation for information about the Ollama service itself.

Payment processors. Paid purchases are handled by a third-party payment processor subject to their own privacy policy.

We do not share personal information with third parties except as necessary to operate the services described above or as required by law.

License and purchase records are retained for as long as necessary to support your license and comply with legal obligations (typically seven years for financial records). Anonymous crash data is aggregated and individual reports are deleted after 90 days. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@gadwai.com.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data we hold about you. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@gadwai.com.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect the limited personal data we hold. Because your study content stays on your device, the attack surface for sensitive business data is limited to your own machine.

Gadwai Desktop is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the software after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
